This spring, nail art continues to steal the spotlight. Sure, skincare is still important, but nail art is the season’s biggest beauty trend. Just take a look around on social media to see the feeds full of nail art and understand why nails have become a must-have accessory for all our looks.

From quirky designs to extra-long nails to crystal appliqués, the nail trends for 2022 are second to none. The nostalgia of the 2000s has also caught up with us in manicure trends. It’s fun to experiment with different lengths, shapes, colors and details. There are so many options that there is something for everyone: whether you prefer subtle and sophisticated aesthetics or like to go to the extreme and attract attention with very daring designs.

One trend is pastel colors. As an update classic pink, there now some funky sea-shell effects, which manage to look very different but polished at the same time. There are also more opaque looks that range from lilac to mint green and sky blue. Even if you’re not a fan of getting your nails done, you’ll jump no the trend.

To give the black mani a break we have green, which can be matte for a more daring look. For those who want to take the trend a little further, try bright green tones–even several at the same time. However you decide to wear this color, you’ll stand out.

Another great trend for manis is crystals, which we saw in the collab show from Versace and Fendi. The models walked down the runway with nails full of glitter and rhinestones. Crystal details can be worn on short nails as well as on long acrylics. Opt for solid colors or multicolored stones. Play it cool or go all out like the Euphoria trend.

Within this trend of appliqués—we’re also seeing stickers: hearts, flowers, geometric designs and much more. You can give a final touch to any nail polish with nail stamps that are very easy to apply even at home. You can even use them with clear polish and they still look very on trend.

The French manicure is making a triumphant comeback—just remixed. We’re now seeing it with different colors and designs, like waves. S French manicure brush helps even novices get professional results at home. Personally, this is one of the trends that I like the most because I wear it all the time. It’s super easy to combine with my looks– cool and classic at the same time.

Finally, like we saw on the runway from La Quan Smith, “stiletto” nails, named for their spiky length are here to stay. They may not be the most practical nail trend of the season, but they are sure to attract the most attention. The long, pointed shape is still one of the most sought after looks when it comes to nail art.
