We finished Fashion Month, and it’s time to discover what trends will dominate next season. Here’s a rundown of what we’ll be wearing in Fall 22.

Like the seasons, our wardrobe changes every four months. In recent weeks, we saw the new collections from some of the most important fashion brands in the world. After thousands of outfits, hundreds of shows, and visits to the four different fashion capitals around the world, we can finally pick out the strongest trends of the Fall 22 season.

Artsy, psychedelic, animal, or floral prints to neutral tones like beige, black and white. Mini- or XL -kirts, fitted silhouettes, and oversized garments. Leather and lace. Futuristic and avant-garde outfits. The Fall 22 collections embodied a range of aesthetics, resulting in endless possibilities that suit any style. Here are eight of the strongest trends we saw at the Fall 22 shows, from New York to Paris, from London to Milan.

Second skin

During the Fall 22 runway shows, one thing was clear: leather–or vegan alternatives– will be the season’s most popular material, whether in coats, jackets, shirts, skirts, and pants. The versatility of these garments is incredible. You can opt for total look in leather or just a garment that gives an edgy touch to your outfit. Go for that rebellious aesthetic or a more sexy, feminine look. The options are endless.

Garments that give us a sneak peek. Light silk blouses with an sensuality and transparencies were all over the Fall 22 catwalks. It was like game of “Hide and Seek” in silk, satin, and tulle, with layers so light that they reveal the body under the garments.

On the court

The trend of translating the sports universe to our everyday clothes continued to be strong for the Fall 22 season. We saw how several designers were inspired by different sports, from tennis to track and field and American football with details that brought to mind the uniforms that we see on the field or court. Winter garden

Floral prints in different sizes and colors flourished on several of the runways of the Fall 22 season. “The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all–” this phrase from Mulan comes to mind when I think of the outfits of the next season, thousands of looks full of delicate flowers that turn the collections into true gardens of Eden.

Fake fur is cool

As always, the Fall 22 catwalks were full of winter clothing – coats, jackets, and capes– and I must say that this season looks sensational. Fur is back as one of the designers’ favorite materials for winter garments. The cool twist is that several brands offered faux-fur options in in different shades and silhouettes that preserve all the opulence, sophistication, and glamour of the original material.

Sexy games

Sensuality and eroticism took over the Fall 22 collections. We saw how leather, vinyl, and latex garments gave a sexy touch to the runways shoes. The universe of bondage once again “dominated” the season in clothing that reveals the natural beauty of the female body. Let out your most provocative and wild side with each of these looks.

From outer space

Outfits that seem to come from a galaxy far, far away–something we would normally see in a science fiction movie. For the Fall 22 season, designers drew inspiration from fantastical and imaginary cosmoses to create out-of-this-world garments. In metallic tones and with amorphous silhouettes, these are the looks of tomorrow. This season, the designers have declared that the future is now and they have the perfect supersonic outfits to wear for it.

Birds of paradise

On this season’s catwalks we saw outfits with small feathers or garments made entirely of them. Some Fall 22 looks were full of this very feminine and delicate touch, in beautiful, vibrant, and captivating tones that transform each piece into a surreal dream. These feathered garments stand out from the rest like exotic birds from a tropical paradise.
