I love to travel to the mountains with my family. As many of you may know if you follow me on Instagram, since last week I\u2019ve been on a cold and adventurous ski trip, enjoying the warmth of the fireplace and delicious hot chocolates. <\/p>

It\u2019s always complicated to plan a trip to the mountains, especially when it\u2019s cold and we\u2019re going to ski. I say this because of everything that we need to pack\u2014ski equipment, thermal layers, snow boots, jackets, parkas, and more. <\/p>

But if you\u2019re like me and you like to ski in style, you have to choose just the right pieces for your trip. Various factors that should be taken into account when buying this clothing. For example, you have to bundle up wherever you go–whether Vail or Bariloche; it\u2019s going to be cold. Then, you have to also look for pieces that will allow your body to breathe so that you don\u2019t sweat too much. Finally, you have to think about what type of sporting activities you plan to do. For example, Nordic skiing requires very different clothing than snowboarding or downhill skiing. <\/p>

The good thing is that there is an infinite number of options for ski gear. We have specialized brands like The North Face and Patagonia, as well as luxury brands that are getting into the industry like Fendi and Gucci. My personal favorites at the moment are the following: <\/p>

Moncler<\/h2>

A lot has happened since Ren\u00e9 Ramillon y Andr\u00e8 Vincent created a down-filled ski jacket in 1952 in the town of Monestier-de-Clermont at the foot of the Alps. Today, this is one of the most iconic brands in the industry and has collaborated with the likes of Pierpaolo Piccioli, Simone Rocha, and Richard Quinn as part of their Moncler Genius project. Without a doubt, each of these pieces is a work of art. Their most recent collaboration with Jonathan Anderson resulted in the project Moncler 1 JW Anderson\u2014a line full of color that I personally love because it\u2019s great for layering<\/em>.<\/p>

Perfect Moment<\/h2>

Founded in 1984 by the professional skier Thierry Donard who was looking for the perfect gear, Donard tried to capture that indescribably perfect feeling of coming down the mountain. His retro style is impressive; I love how all of the brand\u2019s pieces complement the body. The pillars of this brand are functionality, durability, and design\u2014and this is just what you\u2019ll find in his jackets, sweaters, ski suits, and accessories. This brand based in Chamonix, Francia gives any look a Audrey-Hepburn-in-Charade <\/em>kind of vibe.<\/p>

Bogner<\/h2>
\"SiraPevida-Bogner\"<\/figure>

What started in 1932 with Willy Bogner and a store that sold ski gear and Norwegian knitwear has become a sportswear empire. Together with his wife, Maria Bogner, Willy was able to revolutionize the industry and create pieces that went beyond the ski world and caught the eye of celebrities like Marilyn Monroe and Ingrid Bergman. My favorite and an absolute must in my closet is the iconic B Zipper jacket, a classic from this German brand. <\/p>

Goldbergh<\/h2>

The youngest brand on the list, founded in 2009 by designer Lieke van den Berg and retail expert Sandra Peet, this brand offers women a perfect option for skiing and also for taking in the view at the base of the mountain with a hot beverage in hand. This Danish brand is breaking down the barrier between sportswear and luxury clothing, and it is simply one of the best for turning heads both on and off the slopes. <\/p>

Dior<\/h2>

You already know that this is one of my favorite brands. I love everything that Maria Grazia Chiuri has done since joining this French Maison<\/em>.One of my favorite items is the reversible jacket with the iconic Dior monogram, which aside from just being warm and comfortable has that Parisian allure that the brand does so well\u2014without missing out on any of the functionality of sportswear. But, what I really loved was one of their latest launches: a capsule collection for skiing by Kim Jones. Even though this is a men\u2019s line, it\u2019s perfect for anyone. <\/p>

Skiing can be a competitive sport, but I think the most important emotions are the ones I have before going up the slope. Remember that it\u2019s important to make a good impression\u2014not only with your incredible ski skills but also with your great winter looks. <\/p>
