We all dream of spending our vacations in a winter wonderland, relaxing with a good book by the fire in a log cabin as the snow comes down. But when we get there, we find that not everything is perfect because this climate can be very damaging and abrasive to our skin. <\/p>

To start, I\u2019d like to share the different factors that can affect your skin while on a mountain trip. <\/p>

First\u2014and this is one that many might ignore\u2014is sun exposure due to the high altitude and reflectiveness of the snow. Another is dry skin, due to the nature of mountain air. Finally, the lack of oxygen can also dehydrate the skin.  <\/p>

Despite all of this, Vail is one of my favorite destinations, so I make sure to take a kit of infallible products with me in order to keep my skin looking fresh, hydrated, and smooth. Here are some of the must-haves in my mountain beauty bag.<\/p>

The Eye Concentrate from La Mer<\/h2>

Diorshow Waterproof Mascara<\/a><\/h2>

Just like a good hand cream, a good lip balm is essential. There are infinite options, and I think selecting the right one is a matter of personal opinion. That\u2019s why I take this little yellow tube with me everywhere I go.  <\/p>

Clarins Santal Face Treatment Oil \u2013 dry\u2044extra dry skin<\/a><\/h2>

This oil containing natural extracts is perfect after a long day. I mix a drop of it into my night cream and I rub them together until warm. Then, I apply the combo to my face and neck, using light pressure. The aroma is relaxing and it helps me wind down. Nowadays, there are all sorts of products that can help our skin combat winter weather. These are some of the ones that have worked for me, but the most important thing is being consistent and remembering to apply the products frequently. <\/p>
