On September 30, during Paris Fashion Week, Jean Paul Gaultier held one of the most irreverent, glamorous, and scandalous parties to celebrate the brand’s new fragrance, Scandal Pour Homme.
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Paris and enjoy Paris Fashion Week once again. I must say it was a spectacular experience. I really enjoyed the runway shows, presentations, and getting to eat in my favorite restaurants in the City of Lights, but definitely one of the most spectacular nights of this Fashion Month was Jean Paul Gaultier’s party to celebrate the launch of the brand’s Scandal Pour Homme fragrance.
On September 30 “l’enfant terrible” of fashion, Jean Paul Gaultier, held a party in celebration of the launch of Scandal Pour Homme. The irreverence of the party mirrored the vibe that characterizes this designer. Jordan Barrett, Mica Argañaraz, Evan Mock, Arón Piper, and Sita Abellán, and others danced the night away at Jean Paul Gaultier’s headquarters located at 325 Rue Saint-Martin. The scene was set as a boxing gym in shades of red, complete with a ring. During the evening dancers, models and guests showed us their best moves in and out of the ring. It was a night of excess, madness, and opulence in the carefree spirit of Paris and the designer.
For this scandalous night, I opted for a sporty-inspired outfit but with a twist of sensuality and daring. My look consisted of a Jean Paul Gaultier bomber jacket in a metallic honey yellow tone with embroidered crystals, cut-outs on the shoulders and black and green accents on the collar, cuffs, and waist. I combined this statement piece with a black jumpsuit with cut-outs down the sides of the legs, black pumps, and the Sun Chain belt in metal with rhinestones, all from Saint Laurent. I wanted to create a perfect balance between sporty and sexy, to fit in with the irreverent vibe that Jean Paul Gaultier represents.
The jet set gathered to celebrate with one of the most legendary Parisian designers of all time. It was one of the most fun and chic experiences in all of Paris Fashion Week!
