Whether morning, noon, or night, spending time by the pool is simply magical. It’s the best way to live up the last days of summer.
There is no better way to recharge your battery than to spend a day by the pool, sunbathe, enjoy a delicious cocktail, and get into the water and float. It’s the perfect way to end the summer. The school year begins next week and marks the end of vacation (for those of us who have children of course) and our return to reality. What better way to enjoy the last days of summer than by the pool, just relaxing?
But, even though we’re relaxing doesn’t mean we have to relax our style. The perfect outfit, when you’re going to be near water, can be complicated, but it’s not impossible either. In fact, if you plan it well, it could be one of your best looks of the season. When spending the day by the pool, you need to think about two things, and the best way to go about this is to ask yourself the following question: are you going to swim or not?
If the answer is yes, then your look should revolve around a swimsuit. Choose one that makes you feel comfortable and sexy both when in the pool and sunbathing. Personally, this season I’ve been liking two-piece swimsuits in fun a metallic electric blue that reflects the sun’s rays to define the silhouette. I pair the bikini with a pair of edgy sunglasses and my favorite raffia bag of the moment from Prada.
On the other hand, if you prefer to simply sit by the pool, sunbathe, and relax, your outfit should be a little different and include accessories that reflect your personality. For this look, I would choose to wear a tropical print shirt in green tones and a white crop top that contrasts with fuchsia shorts. I’d combine it with metallic bubblegum pink heeled sandals, a Loewe floral print bucket hat, a Fendi Baguette bag (a timeless classic), some white cat-eye sunglasses and my favorite accessory, my iPhone.
All good things must come to an end, and summer is no exception. So, grab your newest sunglasses, the coolest raffia bag you have, a spectacular bathing suit, and hit the pool before the sun goes down.
