Sometimes, we need to take a breather. A perfect way to do this is by spending a day at home with family–no distractions, work, or worries, just fun.

Dear Diary:

I want to tell you about a day I really enjoyed. After a busy few weeks–travel, work, events–I decided to stay home and enjoy the whole day with my little ones. It was a quiet day, but I really needed that–a carefree moment, full of laughter and fun. A work detox!

I started the day by prepping a healthy breakfast. I cut up some strawberries and mixed them blueberries and then topped everything with some organic cottage cheese on them. My favorite is Good Culture because of its yummy flavor and texture. Then I decided to get ready. I went for a chic but comfortable, cozy look: honey yellow wool palazzo pants from Bottega Veneta, a porcelain intarsia knit sweater with orange motifs on the front and green and orange accents on the collar, and Casablanca slingbacks from Chanel in strawberry pink. Once ready, I made a quick run to Raw Jūce, where I ordered my favorite smoothie to continue my morning.

Then, the family time began. The first activity brought out our artistic side. I put on my glasses and got to work on a drawing. I love activities that encourage little ones to use their imagination and creativity. I had to take a quick break when I received a small gift from Sisley: their Phyto-Teint Nude foundation, Phyto-Blush Twist cream blush in Papaya, two Phyto-Lip Twist lipsticks (Rosy Nude and Soft Berry), two Phyto-Eye Twists, (Taupe and Rose Bronze) and two eyeliners. Such a pleasant surprise! My little girl started testing everything out on my skin immediately.

As you know, Oreo, our teddy bear yorkie and new member of the family, has been ill since we got him. We have been giving him antibiotics and medicines, and we recently found out that he suffers from asthma, so we have to give him injections. So, after my makeup and beauty break, I had to give the pup his meds (I really hope he gets better soon, I’ll keep you posted on any updates). I took the opportunity to play with Oreo a bit before going to surprise my kids with a little gift I bought them. My kids are slime fans, so we bought several Dope Slimes options, played with them, and experienced the scent of each one. I was amazed at how the Whipped Coffee Memory Dough slime actually smells like coffee.

After cleaning up, I went to the spa (just kidding!). No, what really happened is Roberta gave me a little massage in a moment of mommy and daughter bonding. I must say it was perfect. I really felt relaxed, and it was a great way to wrap up the day with my two little princes and my princess.

I finally got them to bed, put their pajamas on, and put them to bed. It might seem like we didn’t do a lot, but it was a very tiring day that I enjoyed it a lot. Before starting my nightly beauty ritual, I decided to see what had come from Mugler: it was a neon yellow short-sleeved bodysuit and motorsport-inspired leggings in black, nude, and neon yellow hues. I was super excited and I couldn’t resist trying them on!

It was definitely a rewarding day. I love spending time with my children. I always end up smiling from ear to ear. The perfect way to do a “work detox” is with the family.
