Soon, we’ll be saying farewell to 2021. No matter how you celebrate—whether a dinner with family or a party with friends–one thing is for sure: you must look spectacular when yelling out Happy New Year!
There are many important dates on the calendar–like birthdays, anniversaries, and weddings– when you must look fantastic, but one time you need to look your absolute best is on New Year’s eve. That moment when the countdown ends and everyone yells “Happy New Year!” is simply euphoric, and you must look spectacular. The best way to start a new year is in an impressive outfit.
For such an important night you should choose an outfit that makes you comfortable so that you can enjoy to the fullest. The first thing is to decide whether you want to wear pants or a dress. Remember that it’s winter, so if you’re going to an outdoor event, I’d recommend pants. One of my favorite outfits of the year was the one I wore to the Bottega Veneta show. This look consisted of a black turtleneck sweater paired with jeans embroidered with green feathers, the Jodie bag in intrecciato leather, and a pair of Lido sandals in parakeet green, all from Bottega Veneta.
If you opt for a dress, I recommend taking inspiration from one of my most recent outfits. I’m talking about the look I wore during The Daily Front Row event with Candice Swanepoel to celebrate the release of her cover during Art Week Miami. This outfit consisted of a short dress with a halter neck and deep neckline, a black faux fur balloon skirt from Saint Laurent, and sheer tights from Wolford to keep out the cold. For jewelry, I chose some cascading crystal earrings from Saint Laurent, and I added a touch of color to the look with the Pyramid Box bag in bumblebee yellow (also from Saint Laurent)and the Aevitas platforms in satin fuchsia from Versace.
These two outfits are very different from one another, but both have that “wow factor” you’re looking for on New Year’s Eve. These options are perfect for dancing and enjoying the evening in style. The most important thing is to look like a superstar when you yell “Happy New Year!” at the top of your lungs.
