London Fashion Week started on Thursday February 17th, sparking my love for British fashion full of irreverence and rebellion. My shopping bag this week is full of English elegance.

The British are known in the fashion industry for being trendsetters. They’ve managed to conquer the hearts of the world with their rebelliousness and irreverent spirit. London has given us great talent and unique aesthetics–designers that march to the beat of their own drum. Just take the punk aesthetic of Vivienne Westwood, the drama of Alexander McQueen, the decadent opulence of John Galliano, and the glamorous spirit of Harris Reed. The common denominator between these talented designers, from different eras, is the country they call home: the UK:

This week, I’ve decided to take inspiration from the aesthetics of London fashion in the 80s for  my wish list. They’re sensual silhouettes that combine femininity and masculinity, pieces in which the camp aesthetic gives way to elegance. My shopping bag this week is inspired by icons and legends like David Bowie, Kate Moss and Twiggy.
