The fashion forecast for SS22 is one of optimism and creativity, definitively leaving home office looks behind.

In this shopping cart I wanted to be inspired by the eclectic vibe of the season, not only in silhouettes but materials. After wearing more androgynous looks for several years and being at home, designers are celebrating a hyper-feminine style with a mix of finishes and materials that awaken our inner fashionistas. “Don’t be afraid of beauty,” Giambattista Valli declared before showing his latest collection at the exquisite Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris. And I couldn’t agree more.

Sheer fabrics were one of the biggest trends at RTW this season, as were cinched waists and strategic cuts. Many designers declared the waist as the new erogenous zone for next summer, giving us revealing silhouettes that highlight and contour this part of the body in all its glory. The idea is to balance these ultra-feminine pieces them with other garments made of materials that give them a touch of masculinity, such as leather pants. A winning look is one that combines a very girly crop top with baggy pants or jeans.

Speaking of silhouettes and materials, everything goes this season–animal prints and florals, stripes and polka dots. In fabrics we have synthetic fur, satin, tulle, and denim, and finishes like crocheted details, bedazzling and sequins, and 3D flowers. Whatever your style, the bottom line is that women still want to dress well, have fun with fashion, and turn hards
