Let me recommend you some of my favorite pieces with transparencies, a trend that will dominate the spring season.
Although winter has not yet come to an end (rather, we are in the middle of it), it’s about time we start thinking about what we will wear during spring, in the clothes we will have to invest in to keep our style fresh and, well, in fashion.
If we remember last year’s runways, one of the most marked trends for the Spring/Summer 2023 season was transparencies. According to TAGWALK, 77.3% of the shows included transparencies in some way, through different fabrics or weaves. This predisposition to sexy stuff, to show a little more, is logical due to the resurgence of the 2000s, something that delighted some of us and terrified others.
Although I speak of “transparencies” in general, we must remember that the same trend can be presented in a thousand ways, this being one of the greatest virtues of fashion and of the diverse point of view of creative directors. Transparencies, in particular, can take the form of dresses, such as this floral piece by Coperni or this maxi dress by Christopher Esber; of blouses, such as this one by Blumarine, the Y2K brand par excellence, or this one by Paco Rabanne. It can even be applied to shoes, which definitely have a turn-of-the-century vibe, like this pair of Magda Butrym mules or these pink Miu Miu ones (very barbie core, if you ask me).
See-through accessories will also be a hit during spring, and nothing says chic as much as this pair of Mame Kurogouchi earrings, which you can wear with these sunglasses from A Better Feeling or these aviator-style ones from Isabel Marant. Stockings? They count too, and I’m obsessed with this pair (Gucci, obviously).
