Lately, we’ve been seeing pink everywhere: from the runways to the most iconic looks on social media. Feel like joining this trend? Let me recommend you the basic attire you need to wear it in the best possible way.

Pink is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful colors in existence! Associated with softness, beauty, tranquility, love and optimism, I love that, for some time now, it is gaining a force impossible to stop. Mainly, there are two people we have to thank for this recent dominance: Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of Valentino, who, for a couple of seasons now, has been putting this color all over the place (remember his Fall/Winter 2022 runway? Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about), and Greta Gewrwig, director who, along with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, has been working on a live-action Barbie movie (I’m so excited and can’t wait to see it). Without these two visionaries, we wouldn’t be living the amazing moment we are currently experiencing.

So, my point is: pink is at one of its best moments, and it’s a must try, whether you’re going to an event or just want to look enviable for yourself or on your Instagram.

One of the trends that is making the most of this color is Barbiecore, an aesthetic that is inspired by the fashion that had its heyday in the late 90s and early 2000s and brings it back 20 years later, with pride and a lot of creativity. Although animal print, gold tones and glitter are also a fundamental part of Barbiecore (basically, everything we associate with the most iconic doll in history), it’s a fact that pink is what is standing out the most on the catwalks and in street style: from Kim Kardashian to Dua Lipa, Megan Fox, Zendaya and even Hailey Bieber (although we must not forget that the real queen is Paris Hilton), all celebrities are contributing to the pink power.

One thing that must have already come to your mind is that, yes, we are talking about pink, but within the family of this color there is a wide range of possibilities. Pastel pink, bubblegum, magenta, peach, coral, flamingo, fuchsia, salmon or rosewood, the options that we can access are many and varied, sooo, a completely pink look doesn’t have to mean the same shade for each garment and much less means giving in to the monotony of color block, because in addition to the variations of the shades, you can add rhinestones to your shoes, bangs and sequins to your top, you can choose a short asymmetrical one-shoulder dress, or flared faux leather pants. How about a strapless dress with matching long gloves, a fluffy cardigan, or gold rose earrings with pink crystals? Stockings, bodysuits, hair clips; wool, velvet, cashmere, satin. Pink is available in all materials, in all textures and in all shapes you can think of, so you have no excuse not to try it. Are you up for it?

That’s why today, in my shopping cart, I bring you a selection of apparel for you to join this wave of energy, joy and, of course, Barbie adoration.
