The hairstyles that triumph on the catwalks become inspiration for our own looks next season.

Our tour of the fashion capitals has come to an end, and now I have an endless list of looks I want to try—including hairstyles and makeup. As you know, we just saw the Fall/Winter 2022-2023 runways, so the trends we saw on them won’t crop up again until the season itself. But, here’s a recap of some of the hairstyles that stole the show and will be fashionable in the coming months.

During the second half of last year, all of the cool kids on TikTok seemed to be experimenting with a cinnamon hue that’s darker than your regular copper blonde. But it wasn’t until we saw Kendall Jenner, who rarely changes her hair color, wearing the season’s hottest color during the Prada show in Milan that we realized it will one of the hottest trends. wanted. Would you dare?

We saw bleached hair in the shows, especially in buzz cuts or super short styles. In the Roberto Cavalli show, Iris Law (Jude’s daughter) had a bleached pixie cut with super natural and simple makeup that managed let her hair shine. We saw something similar on the Dior catwalk in Paris, where a model wore the look but in a shaved style.

Loewe, Isabel Marant, Balmain, Saint Laurent, Acne Studios, Courrèges, and Stella McCartney—just to name a few. They all have a common denominator: textured hair that looks somewhere between soft and slightly disheveled—oh, and with a middle part. This was a huge trend in the nineties and is now back. We saw it on Bella Hadid in the Tod’s show and the models in the Proenza Schouler show. The look is super elegant and shiny and combines well with a polished makeup look and bushy but natural eyebrows.

Bixie cut

The hybrid look between a bob and a pixie that we saw a lot in the 90’s (think: Winona Ryder in Reality Bites)

Etro: Bixie

The bob and pixie hybrid has taken 2022 by storm, and the FW22 shows were no exception. The laid-back style that borders on grunge was seen at shows like Etro’s in Milan, and I think we’ll be seeing it on the streets soon. Nostalgia for the 90’s is with everything, and the season’s beauty looks are proof.

Braids are to beauty what denim is to fashion: a staple that gets revamped, season after season. For the FW22 runways, stylist took braids to new levels. A clear example was the Brandon Maxwell show, for which the stylist, Jawara, created a twisted chignon that sat at the nape of the neck and was accented with a discreet braid and black velvet ribbon. Super chic and modern!
