Tom Ford’s latest collection flourishes as luxurious Ready-to-Wear. Being that he is known primary for his impeccably tailored menswear and stylish eveningwear, his RTW is an exciting departure into more informal territory.
Due to unforeseen circumstances related to Covid-19, Tom Ford released his Fall Winter 2021 collection through a look book on Runway360.com. Once again, we’re witnessing history as designers present their fall-winter collections amidst a global pandemic. An act of resilience, the new season showcases not only an adaptable industry staying afloat, but the sheer force of creativity at a time when many of us struggle with lockdown fatigue. Luckily, we’re not lacking the luster from the magic of the runway, even if we’re watching from the comfort of our own screens.
This collection relies on a mixture of leather, lace, animal print, and pops of neon. Giving this collection a reference to the rock and roll from the 80s, where the likes of Madonna would have worn some of these pieces. And if you feel you are missing out on some of Tom Ford’s classic suit jackets and blazers, there are some also for the fans of his most tailored pieces reenvisioned in satiny cheetah print.
I find this collection like an ode to our inner rockstars, my favorite looks include a shocking pink mini dress in lace paired with blue tights, a black lace jumpsuit, a yellow mohair sweater wore with a mini skirt in the same tone, and an oversized jacket in black velvet. I also have to mention, that I loved the acid wash jeans mixed with a black top with sheer sleeves and details of lace plus fishnet touches.
Shout out to the accessories like the golden chain belts, big chunky earrings, sunglasses and the punk inspired hairdos combined with smokey eyes. I truly enjoyed the presentation and got inspired by Tom Ford aesthetic for next season. Can’t wait to wear them all! What about you?
