Paris is an amazing city, not only in terms of fashion, but also for its wide gastronomic offer. That’s why I decided to make a selection of what I consider the best restaurants that I can’t miss out every time I visit the city of lights.
A small but lovely place. The decoration is the collection of the old toys of Ferdinand, the son of the restaurant’s owners. I recommend booking in advance, because it is always full. This place is known for its delicious burgers and churros for dessert, which although they don’t compare with those in Mexico, it’s worth trying.
The iconic Hôtel Costes restaurant is located on Rue Saint-Honoré. It has a sublime decoration, a relaxing atmosphere, and a unique aroma. And of course, the food is delicious!
My favorite dishes are the spicy lobster pasta, tomyam chili sea bass and a cheesecake for dessert. I always ask for a table outside because what I enjoy the most is watching people go by, admire the outfits and the celebrities who arrive and leave. I never miss the opportunity to shop around the fragrance and flower shops inside of this hotel.
It belongs to the same owners of the Costes so they share the same menu. This is a very good option for lunch, because the food is delicious and healthy. It’s visited by celebrities and models, especially during fashion week. It’s located on Avenue Montaigne, one of my favorite streets for shopping. It has a very nice patio, perfect to relax and have a refreshing drink while enjoying a Parisian sunset. Every time I am there, I feel in my own movie.
This particular restaurant is inside the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in the Palais du Louvre. I love the atmosphere and artistic decoration because it’s so elegant and Parisian. It was designed by the architect Joseph Dirand who’s known for his minimalistic work and graphics.
There’s nothing better than a good meal with a beautiful view. I always ask for a table on the outside to observe the Louvre gardens while enjoying the best black truffle pizza.
La Maison du Caviar
It’s the perfect place to have a wonderful sit down dinner, listen to good music, and have a fun time. It’s elegantly decorated in a vintage style. The dishes are all gourmet. I highly recommend the spaghetti with caviar and their delicious variety of desserts. I will let you discover which one is the best.
It’s a very beautiful, elegant and special place. They offer the same type of food as the previous one I mentioned, but without a doubt, you must taste the potato with caviar as well as the blinis and the salmon. Caviar Kaspia is the best! There is a store under the restaurant where you can find the best caviars.
Diep, in my opinion, is the best restaurant in Chinese food. The decor and atmosphere transport you to Asia. They have unique flavors. My favorite dishes are croissants frits with shrimp, chicken alla citronelle, rice, springrolls, and mixed dumplings.
Café de Flore
This is a classic place to visit in Paris. It’s located on Saint-Germain. This place was visited by important personalities like Jean-Paul Sartre, Tina Turner, Ernest Heminway, Picasso, and Karl Lagerfeld. I enjoy drinking coffee with a french croissant and a good conversation (of course, you can’t miss taking a picture there).
It lives up to it’s name. You’ll find the best escargots in all of Paris. Trust me, you wouldn’t be brave enough to name your restaurant “L’escargot Montorgueil” if you wouldn’t serve the most exquisite snails in the city. It has become a signature dish. If you find youself in Paris, you have to try them.
Traditionally, by far this is one of the best and most amazing restaurants in Paris. They offer a meat dish that has made thousands of people fall in love with it. The success of this dish is the sauce of butter and spices, also accompanied by french fries… my guilty pleasure.
It looks like a common building from the outside, but as soon as you go through the door, you have been transported to a classic Italian restaurant. Tables with white tablecloths, velvet benches, and mirrors are part of the decoration. The best dishes are penne alla arrabiata, scallops, and burrata. Delicious is an understatement!
Well, let’s lay all the cards on the table. When in Paris, you must to try typical french food. No need to travel all over to eat a hamburger (ok, maybe you do. Just one, or two burgers with french fries). Le Voltaire is one of the best options to explore the traditional dishes of the city of lights, as well as their amazing wines, french fries, mashed potatoes, foie gras, and scallops.
As you may have noticed, there’s a job that I take very, very seriously every time I travel (serious enough to break my diet). Anyone you ask that is close to me, will tell you that I am an official french fries taster. I ask for french fries at every restaurant that I go to. I can’t avoid it, it’s part of this dirty job, but someone’s has to do it. Lol.
