New releases and updates in the world of fashion, beauty, and TV from the month of August. Runways, products, series, and new ad campaigns that caught our attention.

A New Dawn

The combination of ingredients like Lansium extract and Hexylresorcinol help reverse melanin loss and improve pigmentation. Ginkgo biloba extract helps increase oxygenation, and Rosehip extract eliminates gray spots. Soy Peptide extract helps improve the skin’s collagen levels. The most recent version of this enigmatic perfume, L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge, releases the stronger, seductive, and sensual side of the fragrance. L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge has notes blood orange and ginger that give the scent an electrifying sensation. Her most recent achievement is becoming the first Latina ambassador for Bulgari in North America.

The actress shared the message her more than 7 million followers in a post on her social networks, in which she expressed her happiness at becoming part of the family of this Italian luxury jewelry firm. This new stage represents the next step on her path, a path that has been growing more and more successful. Bulgari and Eiza is a dynamic duo that promises nothing but success and iconic images full of opulence and elegance.

The Dream Lives On

Originally unveiled in Paris in 2017, the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams “exhibition became one of the most memorable in the world of fashion. A year later, it made its debut at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, where it received more than 500,000 visitors, and in April of last year the French brand uploaded a virtual tour of the exhibition to its YouTube channel. This exhibition takes us through the 7 decades of this enigmatic maison, showing the creations of the 6 creative directors who have led Dior (Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri). Without a doubt, it’s a show that not only captivates fashionistas but the whole world.

The exhibition is currently in the Chengdu Museum of Contemporary Art in China, where it will be open to the public until September 7. Later it will travel to the Brooklyn Museum in New York. To accompany this new stage of the exhibition, Dior will launch a book that captures the most legendary designs of the firm. Dior has been characterized as one of the most influential figures in women’s fashion, which makes the exhibition and the book musts for any fashion fan.

Italian Expertise 

Dolce & Gabbana presented its latest haute couture show at Piazza San Marcos in Venice. With a star-studded front row, featuring Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Monica Bellucci, Christian Bale, and Helen Mirren, the brand’s Italian designer duo presented their brilliance and expertise. Before starting the show, guests were delighted by Jennifer Hudson’s interpretation of the aria “Nessun Dorma” from the opera Turandot, which was magical moment in which everyone could enjoy the space fully.

The collection was an explosion of Italian elements inspired by Venice. The tulle and silk crepe dresses with embroidered crystals resembled beautiful Murano stained glass, while satin garments nodded to the brilliance of the sun’s reflections on the city’s canals. Exuberance and opulence–recurring elements in all Dolce & Gabbana collections–once defined the aesthetic of Italian romanticism and elegance and now remind us of the mythical and legendary carnivals Venice. This collection is essential to the legacy of the brand. 

Love Stories

Modern Love is an Amazon Prime series based on the famous column from The New York Times. Each of the episodes tells a love story complicated by the nuance of modern life. After the series’ resounding success after the first season, the show came back with another 8 stories about love.

This series goes beyond the classic romantic comedy. Each of the stories explores human relationships without romanticizing them but instead showing the stark reality of real connections and their effects on people. In addition, it has an incredible cast; the second season features performances from actors and actresses like Anna Paquin, Kit Harington, Lucy Boynton, and Tom Burke, among others. A plus is that because every episode tells a different story, you feel like you’re watching a mini movie with each one.
